For the last two months worth of Sunday afternoons, the usually axe and mead-filled Meduseld Meadery has instead been full of video games.
The Gamer's Guild, a new group dedicated to weekly video game challenges, has quietly been building its cache with appealing prizes and interesting games. Run by Matt Stetler, the Gamers Guild has featured games ranging from arcade classics like "Tapper" and "Paperboy" to the just-released "Mortal Kombat 11."
This Sunday, May 19, the Guild hosts a "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" tournament with big stakes - first place takes home a $50 gift card to Just Press Play and second place takes home a $25 card. The tournament will be ongoing from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.
